Paul Mackay is an EMEA CTO within the Modern Data Center organization of Dell EMC.

Dell EMC is the Enterprise Solutions business of Dell Technologies, a unique family of businesses that provides the essential infrastructure and software for any organization to build its digital future, transform IT and protect its most important asset – information.

Mackay works within a CTO team who are responsible for articulating the technology strategy for Dell in EMEA, working with counterparts globally, to ensure that the benefits of Cloud and infrastructure solutions are broadly understood by both customers and business partners alike. As a broad theme, Mackay shows how Cloud, Converged and Hyper-Converged solutions from Dell Technologies drive greater efficiencies in the data center, and demonstrates how organisations are able to move to business models that deliver a better business outcome more accurately and faster.

Prior to joining Dell EMC, Mackay’s background was in pre-sales and professional services consultancy, working for some large IT organizations as well as running his own company for many years. Mackay has over 20 years’ experience in the IT industry.

Ari-Jussi Knaapila is Chief Executive Officer of Cinia Ltd and Board Chairman of C-Lion1 Ltd, submarine cable system company belonging to Cinia group.

Mr. Knaapila has a long over 30 years’ experience in ICT industry in international companies with a career beginning as system engineer and developing through sales responsibilities to general management positions. During past 20 years Mr. Knaapila has held a CEO position in several companies with various development phases.

In May 2014 Mr. Knaapila was appointed Chairman of the Board of Corenet Ltd and CEO of Cinia Group to start operation Jan 2015. In Jan 2015 Corenet Ltd was merged to be part of new Cinia Group.

Before joining Cinia Mr. Knaapila served as Division President and Group Deputy CEO in Empower Group Ltd, company operating in network engineering, maintenance and construction as well as ICT services.

Earlier Mr. Knaapila served as CEO in Cygate Ltd, Song Networks Ltd and Telenordia Ltd (JV for BT) leading these companies through both successful organic growth as well as various acquisition activities. Prior to those senior management responsibilities he had some junior management positions in Unisys and IBM.

Mr. Knaapila holds a M.Sc. (electr.eng.) degree from Helsinki University of Technology (now Aalto University).

Stephen Ho

Mr. Stephen Ho is the Chief Executive Officer of CITIC Telecom International CPC Limited (“CPC”) and the President of China Enterprises ICT Solutions Limited (“CEC”). In 2017, he is appointed as the Vice President of CITIC Telecom International Holdings Limited (“CITICTEL”) as well. Mr. Ho carries with him more than 30 years of extensive industry experience. Prior to joining CPC, Mr. Ho held senior positions at Cable and Wireless Systems Ltd, Hong Kong Telecom CSL Ltd, Hong Kong Telecom Ltd and iAdvantage Ltd. He is a founder of two Internet Data Centres between 1999 and 2001.

Mr. Stephen Ho not only earned a reputation for his industry experience, he has also made significant contributions to Hong Kong's ICT development.  He served as the President and Chair on the Board of Governors of the US Pacific Telecommunications Council (PTC) for 2014 & 2015.  Mr. Ho has been the Chairman of the Communications Association of Hong Kong (CAHK) since 2012 and one of the advisory committees of Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC) since 2015.  Mr. Ho also serves as a committee member of IT Management Committee of Hong Kong Management Association (HKMA) since 2012 and the Vice-Chairman of IT Management Club of HKMA since 2015.  In 2016, he also serves as a Founding Board Member of the Smart City Consortium.  He is also one of the Appointed Directors of the Hong Kong Internet Registration Corporation Limited (HKIRC) in 2016/2018.

Mr. Ho holds an Honor Bachelor Degree in Electrical Engineering, specializing in digital communications from McGill University of Canada.

Philip Collerton is the Chief Revenue Officer of the Uptime Institute, responsible for all commercial and service delivery activities globally. Mr. Collerton joined the Uptime Institute in April 2012. Mr. Collerton frequently represents the Uptime Institute at data centre industry events, drawing on his expertise in designing, building and operating data centres. He has gained extensive experience in data centre operations, data centre training and staffing, consolidation of data centres and establishment of data centres in new markets and geographies.

Tom Homer

Telstra

Tom Homer is Head of EMEA for Telstra, a leading telecommunications and technology company. He oversees the region for Telstra Enterprise, a global business unit which offers industry-based telecommunications services and solutions.

Based in London, Tom is responsible for developing and driving the business strategy across EMEA, as well as Telstra’s relationships with multinational corporations in the region. With a strong focus on the customer experience and building the Telstra brand, he has presided over the EMEA business’ expansion to nine offices across the United Kingdom, Europe, the Middle East and Africa. Under Tom’s leadership, the business has also recorded large referenced deals such as Allianz, Standard Chartered Bank, Ericsson, Springer Nature, Perform Media and Sotheby’s.

Tom has over 25 years’ experience in management in the telecoms industry, having held a number of leadership roles at Reliance Globalcom, Cable & Wireless and AT&T prior to joining Telstra. He is also a board member of the Australia-UK Chamber of Commerce. Outside of work, Tom is a keen skier and sailor with two teenage children, and also enjoys spending time with his dogs and horses.

Sami Holopainen is Managing Director of Equinix Finland. He was appointed as General Manager of TelecityGroup Finland in early 2015, which was acquired by Equinix in January of 2016. Prior to this, Sami was the founding partner and CEO of Tenue Oy for six years, from 2006 through to its acquisition by TelecityGroup in 2012.

Sami has over 20 years’ experience in ISP and data center businesses. He is known as an industry leader in the market, having been instrumental in a firm that was one of the first movers in managed data center services in Finland. Since 2012 Sami has been successfully growing Equinix’s presence in Finland, connecting Western European markets to Russia, the Baltic region and Asia.

Sami holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Information Systems from the Satakunta University of Applied Sciences, Finland.
